Who this covers
This policy applies to stakecrew.club and www.stakecrew.club (the "Site"), operated as an early-stage, prototype platform for founders and backers to connect and share startup ideas. If you create an account, post an idea, or connect with another member, this explains what data that involves.
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text). If you sign in with LinkedIn instead, we receive your name and email from LinkedIn, not your password.
- Profile information you choose to add — a headline, a short bio, and a LinkedIn profile URL, all optional and editable at any time.
- Content you post — idea pitches (title, description, funding details) and your connections with other members.
- Session data — a signed, encrypted cookie that keeps you logged in. It contains no readable personal data, only a reference to your account.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We don't run advertising trackers or third-party ad networks on this Site.
- We don't share your data with third parties except the service providers below, strictly to make the Site function.
Service providers we use
- Vercel — hosts the Site and processes requests to it.
- Email delivery — used solely to send you a one-time verification code when you sign up, so we can confirm the email address is really yours.
- LinkedIn — only if you choose to sign in with LinkedIn, to verify your identity via LinkedIn's own sign-in system.
None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond delivering the service to us.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the details below and we'll remove it.
Your choices
- Edit or remove your headline, bio, and LinkedIn URL at any time from your profile page.
- Disconnect from other members at any time.
- Request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account, by contacting us.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.
Children
StakeCrew is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
Changes to this policy
As the Site develops, this policy may be updated. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when it changes.
